This is a very high quality offering from our friends at the Teton guitar manufacturing company. Many consider the quality right on target with guitars costing $3,000 to $4,000. You have to play one of these to experience the level of workmanship, great tone and comfortable playability.

Ultra thin exotic wood veneers are applied to the top of a solid sitka spruce soundboard. The veneers are glued to the solid top with synthetic protein glue, which helps the top pieces of wood vibrate together to produce amazing tone. The Exotic Top series is not like any veneer topped guitar you have heard before. Their goal was to make a beautiful guitar that did not compromise the Teton sound that players have come to rely on. Mahogany is the most commonly used hardwood because it's relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with making it great for back and sides. The fretboard is made of indian laurel wood, a great looking and sounding alterative to rosewood and the mahogany neck adds to the depth of this guitar's sonic range. These inspiring combinations with the Teton innovations produces a guitar with fantastic tone, rich harmonics, and an increased volume level. All Tetons go through a rarification process (rarified tops and back). This is a natural process that doesn’t overheat or discolor the wood. Guitars are placed in a chemical free vacuum sealed environment that removes impurities and sap. This makes the wood much stronger and improves the tone and makes for a natural and better aging process. Most factories buy green wood and then bake it like a cookie to dry it. They vacuum dry the wood, no heat involved.
