Introduced in 1961, the Gibson EB-3 is a short scale dual humbucker bass used by legends Jack Bruce of Cream, Andy Fraser of Free, and Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson 5. These basses were constructed in a similar fashion as the SG guitars they mirror with a Mahogany body, set Mahogany neck and Rosewood finger board, but with a slotted headstock and golden Gibson silkscreen. The EB-3 offers players a large sonic palette with individual Volume and Tone controls for the full sized neck and mini bridge humbuckers along with a rotary switch often referred to as a "chicken head" knob. Depending on the position you can select the neck pickup with midrange notch, bridge pickup, bridge and neck pickups with low end rolled off neck pickup, neck pickup with choke. This bass is in between very good and excellent cosmetic condition. It plays and sounds great as well. Original Gibson branded hardshell case included.
