In 2018 Paul Reed Smith released John Mayer's Signature guitar, the Silver Sky. It was designed and manufactured in the Core Product category, and it immediately took the music world by storm. They set out to recreate the feeling of vintage instruments with updated hardware components more suited for today's player. Every inch of this classically inspired recreation is improved in design and function and the hardware has been redesigned with quality, ergonomics and functionality in mind as well.
John wanted to move this great quality instrument forward and in the hands of more musicians while "not penalizing the guitar player for not having the core US model."

The Silver Sky SE launch is in process in four amazing colors; Dragon Fruit, Ever Green, Moon White, and Stone Blue, a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with a 25.5" scale length, 22 frets, and 635JM signature carve. A steel two point tremolo system and custom designed pickups ensure great intonation and tone every time.
