Charlie Stringer Industries was a large musical equipment manufacturer and distributor just outside of Plainfield New Jersey when 2 local pedal designers approached him about starting a new line of pedals. They presented him with a modified fuzz circuit, now known as the Blue Doo, and at the next NAMM show they presented the world with the Whine-O Wah with it's selectable wah features and output boost control. The switch indicates 3 types of wah sounds, “Voodoo” based on Jimi Hendrix’s Vox wah,"Shaft” as heard on the Isaac Hayes song, based on a Maestro Boomerang wah, and “White Room” which typified Clapton’s Cry Baby wah with Cream. The volume output has a significant amount of power and should be used with reserve. No reserve is needed on the rest of the pedal as it's heavy duty cassis and metal "foot" rocker are in for the long haul. The battery door located on the underside of the pedal and the standard 9V DC power input on the left hand side of the pedal.
