This is a rare opportunity to get into a factory custom color Jazzmaster from the 1960's, at a bargain price. This 1965 L-series (pre-CBS) still retains it's original Fender factory finish on the neck and this includ4es the Candy Apple Red headstock face. The body was stripped years ago and has been painted to match the original headstock finish. The pickups and most of the electronics are original and a pot code of 70-2125-0240 504-6508, showing a manufacture date of 8th week of 1965. The original preformed interior electronics shield is intact as is the original cloth wiring. The neck appears to have been re-fretted in the past and it plays with ease. The neck is straight and the string action / playability nice. This guitar includes a newer Fender hard shell case.
