The Fender Stringmaster Steel Guitars incorporated the latest and most advanced developments in multiple-neck guitar design for their time. They feature dual counterbalanced pickups which eliminate noise and hum. Using a patented switching and mixing system enables players to obtain any tone from low bass to high staccato. This all original 1963 Stringmaster D8 has a pickup blend control for each neck hidden by the bridge cover so that any tonal balance can be achieved. These instruments are fitted with adjustable bridges for better intonation in different tunings. A special set of bass strings was available at the time allowing for a tuning an octave lower than the ordinary steel guitar. The 4 telescoping are included but no longer functioning. Original hardshell case included. Tuned to E13 (B D E G# B C# E G#) and C6th (G A C E G A C E)
