20000618
Regular price MSRP $2,100.00 Sale price $1,560.00 Save $540.00Eric Clapton's original "Blackie" guitar wasn't an original guitar. Clapton bought 4 different 50s Strats as well as a batch of vintage parts in the 1970's from Sho-bud Music and of this made 4 guitars. He gave one to Steve Winwood, George Harrison, and Pete Townshend. The Fender USA Eric Clapton Signature is a faithful recreation of this wildly famous guitar with active electronics and Fender Noiseless single coil pickups. 5-way switching still gets you all the strat-y tones you know and love, but more sonic variety with TBX tone control and Mid boost. The middle tone is the TBX; Bass boost 4-1 and Treble boost 6-10 with a center notch at 5 for neutral tone. The bottom tone is your Mid boost which boosts midrange and bass frequencies with 1-2 as neutral and 10 boosting the signal 25dB. Certificate Of Authenticity and care booklet included in the original tweed hardshell case. This guitar is in beautiful condition.
(Guitar's trem is currently blocked, as done in the factory to emulate Clapton's. We can set the bridge to float upon request.)

Custom Handmade 0-21 w/ Custom Coffin Case
C-16MM3
Regular price $1,250.00 Save $-1,250.00Robert Johnston is an American luthier from Collegeville, Pa and specializes in classical and steel string acoustics. Hand crafted in 2003, No. 16 is a single "O" parlor based heavily on a 1870s Martin 0-21. The guitar was designed and built with the idea of keeping it as authentic as possible, but several concessions to modern technology were made in order to provide a practical instrument. The body is comprised of a Sitka Spruce top bound with Cocobolo and a Maple fillet to Indian Rosewood back and sides. Although anachronistic of the Civil War period, this guitar is braced for light gauge steel strings because it was designed to be played along side banjo and nylon strings wouldn't have had sufficient volume. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard join the body at the 12th fret with two bolts at the base of the heel. This style joint has been popularized by Taylor Guitars and makes future repairs much easier should the neck need to be removed. The coffin case is handmade of 1/4" cabinet-grade birch plywood with "Hunter Green" felt interior and reproduction handle, hinges, lock, and hasps. Painted flat black with a final coat of boiled linseed oil, the case was made using measurements from the Martin factory's "Guitar Makers Connection". Other enhancements include Indian Rosewood head plate, Waverly hand engraved 3-on-a-plate tuners, bone nut and saddle, ebony "pyramid" bridge, bone bridge pins with abalone dots, herringbone purfling and rosette, and a french polish finish in blonde shellac.
