Hartke's HA2500 bass amplifier head features unique circuitry that ensures every nuance of your bass performance is faithfully reproduced, no matter what kind of music you play. The HA2500 offers a host of advanced specifications, including tube emulation/solid-state circuitry, a built-in compressor, 10-band graphic EQ, effects loop with balance control, and a direct out with ground lift and pre/post EQ switches. The HA2500 delivers 250 watts of power to a 4-ohm speaker system or 180 watts to an 8-ohm speaker system. With that kind of power, the HA2500 is extremely loud and punchy. High-pass and low-pass filter knobs provide further tone-shaping control over your bass sound. In addition, the HA2500's protective relay circuitry protects connected speakers from dangerous overloads and prevents "pops" during power-up and power-down.

Fender, a leader in instrument manufacturing, started designing, manufacturing and evolving musical instruments in 1946. Since, Fender amplifiers have and continue to be an integral part of modern music. This example of a Fender reissue was built by them in 1995 and the customer treated it to a lacquer coating over the tweed, just like Fender did in the 1950's!  After that, he gigged with it for many many years, which darkened the patina of the tweed and also gave it some real wear, unlike the fake relic that sometimes comes on guitars looking to showcase their artificial cred. This sounds incredible, looks the part and would make a tremendous addition to any on stage or studio set-up!

Originally marketed as a student level amplifier, the Fender Champ is a magical 6 watt guitar combo. A small 1x8 cabinet design that is perfect for musicians on the go while offering the same features as their larger counterparts. This 1969 Vibro Champ's tremolo circuit is implemented by the Speed and Intensity and with the help of the Volume, Bass, and Treble controls can handle clean and edge of break-up tones all while creating dizzying tremolo effects.

The Stewart Audio ADB1 is an active direct box, which is what the name stands for, suitable for use both on the stage and in the studio. Since I don't do live sound and I'm really a studio rat, I've only got experience using the ADB1 inside a recording studio setting. Most direct boxes are passive, so it is nice to find an active box that sounds this good. Being that it is an active box, it does require either power from a battery or phantom power. The ADB1 is made up of analog parts with unbalanced 1/4" connections for input and output and a balanced XLR output as well. The box also has switches for on/off, ground lift, and for choosing between either speaker or instrument. It isn't rackable - it is in a box form.

In 1982, there was no homestudios, no DAW's, and playing DI through the band mixer was too exotic for a majority of guitarists. So the Rockman was completed by a fancy accessory: headphones! The name itself, Rockman, was based on Sony's Walkman, and a set of headphones was actually the most convenient way to provide quality stereo sound. Stereo was a fantastic and really new feature. Ahead of its time? No. The Rockman was right on time, and arrived exactly when the market needed such a tool. This Rockman Ultralight exhibits identical features to the first generation Rockman minus a reverb control. Input gain adjusts for single-coil or humbucking pickups and variable volume outputs to protect hearing. Clean, Edge, and Dist provide the basis for your sound with the on-board chorus effect adding just the right amount of subtle pitch modulation. The voice of the 70s! This is a great sounding slant cabinet, featuring the Creamback G12M Celestion 25w speakers. They feel nice and broken in, on their original cones, so the cabinet sounds excellent. This cabinet shows signs of previous road wear, and while it has it's share of bumps/scrapes there is no significant damage.

The Supro S6420 Thunderbolt: a hidden gem among vintage amps. Made by Valco Amps for Supro, the minimalist approach of Volume and Tone leaves no distractions. 35 watts is a great amount of power for the stage or studio as well. Two 12AX7 preamp and two 6L6GC power tubes lie at the heart of this 1960s powerhouse with a Jenson 15" speaker delivering everything from muted and thud-y to pristine cleans. The Trace Elliot TA60-CR is compact 60 watt guitar amplifier pushing two Celestion PG8A-15 speakers. This combo is capable of running two guitars in unison as well as built in Reverb and Chorus. Each channel features an Active/Passive switch to pad the input signal, Phase Reverse switch, Gain(channel volume), Lo Trim, Hi Trim, and Notch to sculpt out frequencies that are likely to feedback. Under the Channel 2 input is a Balance slider to blend the two channels which works well with two guitars or one guitar and a microphone. The master Reverb controls how much reverb is present in the signal and Chorus features Speed and Depth allowing players to dial in the desired amount and speed of chorus. The Master Level features a shape function giving players more ways than one to contour their tone. On the rear panel you'll find the footswitch input as well as a DI which can be sent to bigger mixing boards to further enhance your performance.
