Hagstrom began as a humble instrument shop in Sweden in 1925 that primarily sold accordions, which were imported from builders in Germany and Italy. As accordions fell out of style and electric guitar boomed Hagstrom adjusted their focus to meet the new demand and began producing guitars in 1958.  Much like a Gibson ES-330 this hollowbody arch top consists of a laminate maple body for excellent projection and clarity. Although the truss rod is located at the base of the neck this bolt-on mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard are in full working order and feature Hagstrom's iconic slender neck profile. Individual volume and tone controls, along with a 3-way selector switch, are as flexible and powerful as ever. Notable players include Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA and Elvis Presley who appears on the cover of his 1969 album "From Elvis in Memphis" with his Viking II. Made in Sweden.

The D-18 has been a staple of Martin's product line since introduction of the dreadnaught body in 1931. Embraced by many guitarists of the folk and blue-grass genres, its also been a fixture in rock n' roll. Often associated with artists such as Hank Williams and James Taylor, the D-18 is still embraced by contemporary artists like Molly Tuttle. The body top on this example from 1973 is crafted from fine-grained sitka spruce, and the dreadnought body is adorned with multi-ply binding and a rosette. The back and sides are made of Honduran mahogany. This is a key feature of the Style-18 and an essential part of the D-18's subdued appearance. The combination of mahogany back/sides and its non-scalloped X bracing pattern result in a beautiful, thick tone. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood, and the position markers are pearloid dots.

The mahogany neck features a soft V-shape with a medium profile.
The neck is steel reinforced, as Martins did not feature an adjustable truss rod until 1985. The down-belly bridge is made of rosewood and features a short saddle. Although this instrument is 53 years old, it is in excellent condition and shows signs of having been used for performances. The top, back, and neck have been professionally repaired and ready for another 50+ years of joy and entertainment. This instrument produces a bright full-bodied tone that is also well-suited for contemporary music. Original Martin branded hardshell case included.

This beautiful 1981 Gibson Les Paul comes equipped with all the standard Les Paul appointments; duel humbucking pick-ups, Nashville bridge, and solid stop tailpiece for incredible sustain and tuning stability. Les Pauls from this era feature a three-piece maple neck construction, which adds a snappier, brighter tone and attack; just think back to the great hard rock tones of the late 70s and 80s! The Tobacco Sunburst finish is simply iconic. The original Kluson-style tuners were replaced with Grover rotomatic tuners for improved tuning stability. Finally, the factory original Gibson "Shaw-bucker" pick-ups are known for articulation, clarity, and warmth with a medium output. This Les Paul is a tone machine! Non-original Gibson hardshell case included.

Original finish Sunburst 1966 Stratocaster. This is in climate controlled storage, not on premises, but can be viewed by appointment.  This is a first year Fender production of the Stratocaster with the larger Hendrix style headstock.   This was a main performing axe for many years because it played and sounded so good! It plays and sounds incredible.  This is a rare opportunity to get into a factory original finish Stratocaster from 1966, at a great price.  The pickups and electronics are original with a pot codes of 1376514, showing the CTS  manufacture date of 14th week of 1966. The neck date stamp shows 13 MAY 66 B, designating it as manufactured in MAY of 1966.

The original electronics shield is intact as is the original cloth wiring. The original nut is in the case and there was a duplicate crafted and installed later on. The neck and frets look and feel great and it plays with ease. The neck is straight and the string action / playability outstanding. A reissue plush lined hard shell case is included. This one is a really nice example, made in 1966, that looks, plays and sounds incredible! It is marked as LOCAL PICKUP ONLY because shippers limit insurance to cover up to $5000, but we may be able to help a buyer ship it through their carrier if needed.

Fender's Princeton amp was first launched in 1948 with a 6 inch speaker, 4.5 watts of output power, and no controls (not even an on/off switch). By 1966 multiple revisions to the amplifier's circuit and cabinetry allowed for it to transform into the smallest amplifier Fender built with tremolo and reverb included. This has made it a favorite among gigging musicians and studio engineers for their compact size, excellent tones, and volume output. Volume, Bass, and Treble are all most players need. What makes the Princeton Reverb so special are the built in tremolo and reverb effects (which can be foot pedal actuated) with Speed and Intensity for controlling the tremolo and Reverb acting as a dry/wet control. These features, including the cabinet's dimensions and 12 watts of output power, are still high in demand even for today's musicians. This one is a really nice example, made in 1966, that looks and sounds incredible! However it came in without a reverb tank. We upgraded to a new mojotone tank, new footswitch, and replaced the original power cable to a grounded three prong. This 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb is marked as local pickup only because we don't like to risk damage in shipping vintage tube amps, but may be able top help a buyer ship it through their carrier if needed.

Duane Eddy was a prolific studio and live musician who, in the late 1950s and early 1960s, had a string of hit records including "Rebel-'Rouser", "Peter Gunn", and "Because They're Young". When Gretsch created their G6120DE Duane Eddy signature model, they set out to preserve as much of the feel and style of Eddy's original 1957 G6120 archtop as possible. They started by giving the G6120DE Duane Eddy a 3-piece maple neck with the exact profile (and headstock) as Eddy's prized G6120. Along with a bound rosewood fingerboard, this unique neck profile gives you an incredibly smooth feel and delightfully fast action. The 3-ply maple body features include twin DynaSonic single-coil pickups, Tru-Arc "rocking" bar bridge, lacquer finish, and trestle bracing.. just like Duane's! Original Gretsch branded hardshell case included.

The SE Hollowbody II Piezo combines the balanced, clear, resonant tone of a hollowbody instrument with the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar. Constructed with a maple back and top with mahogany sides, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo offers a light shimmer and snap in an attractive package. The 58/15 “S” pickups deliver clarity and balance that sound big and musical in a hollowbody platform.

Now boasting a newly-designed LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo provides musicians with the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric tones in one instrument. The instrument is designed with two discrete volume controls (magnetics and piezo) and output jacks (mix/piezo and magnetics). Players can plug into the “Mix/Piezo” jack and use the individual volume controls to blend the 58/15 “S” pickups with the piezo’s acoustic tones. Alternatively, players can plug into the jacks separately, so the guitar can run magnetic pickups into an amp and run the piezo through an acoustic amp or DI into the soundboard. When using the magnetic output jack in isolation, the piezo battery is bypassed completely, acting as a failsafe (in this scenario, the magnetic pickups still work even if the piezo battery has run out of juice). This is the most versatile SE instrument in the Series nearly twenty-year history. PRS branded gigbag included.

Over a long period, Ibanez has continued to energize the hollow-body market with wide range of designs including everything from rockin' semi-hollow hybrids to straight-up traditional jazz-boxes. The Artcore Expressionist line established yet another chapter in the Artcore story. The Expressionist difference? Jazz fans will recognize the Ibanez original Super 58, the preferred pickup of George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield on their own Signature models. A favorite among jazz players, but also has been proven to perform well in a variety of situations. Warmth, balanced articulation, and excellent response are defining characteristics of the Super 58 pickups.

The left-hand AS93 balances elegance visually and aurally sure to turn heads in any setting. The flamed maple top, back, and sides, beautifully bound and finished in violin sunburst, can go from swing and jazz to blues and hard rock thanks to the Super 58 humbuckers and individual volume and tone controls. A 3 piece Nyatoh/Maple neck, already great for articulation, is enhanced by a bound Macassar Ebony fingerboard creating smooth, powerful playing experience unplugged as well as plugged in. Staying in tune is important and thanks to the gold tuning machines and Gibraltar bridge and tailpiece the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AS93 is ready for endless rehearsals, recordings, and stage appearances without failure.

This is a single family owned, early 1954 original Blonde Fender Precision Bass in Very Good condition. This would be a fantastic addition to a professional players' on stage arsenal or to a collectors stash. Please view all the detailed photos to determine condition is to your standards and expectations.   It is sporting the original 1954 factory see-thru Blonde lacquer finish over the beautiful select grain Ash wood on the body, and the beautiful clear Maple wood neck.  There is minor playing wear on this instrument, considering it is 72 years old, as opposed to some others that have been refurbished or refinished - losing it's originality along the way. The pick gard is original Bakelite material (pre-plastic, like the old dial telephones from that era). The original markings in this instrument that were photographed for this listing show a handwritten note from factory worker "Gloria" in the electronics cavity, a hand written 11-53 in the neck cavity and "TF-3-54" on the neck heel, bringing this bass to a manufacture and release year of 1954. The serial number is stamped into the bridge and reads 1003. This bass plays, sounds and feels terrific, like an icon bass from this era should. This is a true time capsule and may be the finest example available for purchase at this time. It is housed in a 1960's Fender bass case with the orange velvet lining and black tolex exterior. Because of the tremendous value and collectability of this iconic bass, it is marked as local pickup only. The right buyer of this fantastic find will have to arrange their own shipping or buy a seat on a plane to their destination. We can't risk damage or loss in the standard shipping arena. We will assist in delivering the instrument to a packer and shipper of the buyers choice, within 20 miles of our location.

This 1966 double pickup vintage Epiphone E-230TD Casino is a fine example of a guitar that made remarkable history with many period bands of the 1960's including the Beatles. After the introduction in 1961, the Casino was just one of several new thinline archtops designed and produced at the company’s adopted new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan that it shared with all the new Gibson guitars. This great example has a double bound all maple body with the early production warm faded cherry sunburst finish, f-holes, and a bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard with parallelogram inlays. The CTS pots date to 1966 with a code of 1376631.  It is equipped with two P-90 pickups with chrome covers, trapeze tailpiece, and Kluson Deluxe tuners. This one has the sought after large headstock and includes a newer hard shell case. It plays and sounds great and has the period lacquer checking throughout. The original early soft cherry sunburst finish on the face is faded beautifully to a warm burst and the rear walnut color looks rich and attractive as well. It is a great piece of rock 'n roll history, ready for a collection, studio work or gig time. The Casino was adopted by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones who used one to record the demo for “Satisfaction” at Chess Records in Chicago. Howlin' Wolf took a Casino on his first tour of the UK, appearing on Thank Your Lucky Stars. Paul McCartney purchased his Casino first, loved it, and then John Lennon and George Harrison bought Casinos and used them on the Beatles' 1966 world tour. John elevated the use of his Casino more than the others, using it on many records and videos, then later stripped the sunburst finish and played it on the roof concert sporting the natural wood look. The Epiphone Casino was his most famous instrument while in the Beatles. Because of the tremendous value and collectability of this iconic guitar, it is marked as local pickup only. The right buyer of this fantastic find will have to arrange their own shipping or buy a seat on a plane to their destination. We can't risk damage or loss in the standard shipping arena. We will assist in delivering the instrument to a packer and shipper of the buyers choice, within 10 miles of our location.

Handmade in Japan with select tonewoods and premium build quality, Yamaha's AC5R Concert acoustic-electric guitar offers a vintage look with enhanced volume in the low-mid ranges, due to new scalloped bracing for the top and shorter bracing on the guitar's back. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, this concert-sized guitar sounds fantastic. It also benefits from Yamaha's A.R.E. or Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a high-heat treatment that gives the guitar top greater stability and an aged, vintage hue. The Yamaha AC5R takes full advantage of Yamaha's unobtrusive and versatile SRT2 pickup system for recording and stage performance. You get volume, treble, and bass controls (with auto feedback reduction), and blend control allows you to balance between the piezo and SRT2 preamp, for your own distinctive tone.

Since 1951, the Fender Precision bass has made its mark in practically every genre of music imaginable.

The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Relic Precision Bass pays tribute to the landmark Precision Basses that put Fender on the map in the studios and stages, with accurate detailing including electronics and hardware - from the split humbucking pickup to the vintage tuning machines and bridge. The chrome bridge and pickup covers were included to further the authenticity of this Custom Shop build.

In 1959, Fender added the Rosewood fingerboard and then the Tortoise shell pickguard to the Precision Bass. After the Rosewood slab board was added to the production of these basses, Fender decided to use up the remaining gold-anodized aluminum pickguards before switching to the Tortoise Shell gards, waiting to be introduced. This very short period of time has become a highly collectable version of the Precision Bass, only lasting for a few months. This is the Custom Shop tribute to this highly collectable Precision Bass.

This beauty is an USA Custom Shop made in 2008 and played ever since. It has a real lacquer finish on it, chrome pickup and bridge covers as the original 1959 Precision had, and the vintage style bridge and tuning machines as well. The wear on this bass is relic'd wear produced in the factory Custom Shop facility by mimicking 70+ years of heavy gigging. This bass includes it's original vintage style hard shell plush lined case, owners manual and lacquer finish brochure.

This amazing Taylor 912ce Deluxe has very little wear, sounds great and plays effortlessly. The Sitka Spruce top, Ebony fingerboard and Rosewood back and sides look tremendous and produce a sound that has both full body and a delicate articulated focused tone as well. The extensive abalone inlays transform great guitar into a work of art. You will enjoy the advanced pickup and electronics package for live performance as well as studio duties, if you are so inclined. It is in excellent condition, with very little sign of playing. The Grand Concert model from the 900 Series boasts all-solid tone woods, and a rich appointment package that makes it an inspiration both visually and sonically.

The 912ce's comfortable body shape lends to an inviting, intimate feel while playing, made even more comfortable by the infamous slender Taylor neck. The interior bracing scheme adds more volume and sustain to complement the warmth and articulation of the rosewood/spruce tone woods, resulting in a balanced sound with clear definition between notes that will especially please fingerstyle players. Appointments such as ebony binding and custom inlays elevate this model's visual character. It ships with it's hard-shell case. Please inspect all the detailed pictures provided, to notice the tremendous condition and beauty of the appointments.

This is a hand carved Custom Shop instrument. It is one of only one ever produced and it is offered for sale. We love the 50's, 60's and early 70's Fender instruments and this is our interpretation of those with very lightweight bodies, superior craftsmanship and great resonance.

Natural vintage tint color on a Superlite body, tinted maple neck & fingerboard, Vintage style Custom wound pickups and a NOS vintage paper in oil capacitor from Ukraine in the tone circuit. We used a Vibrawood specific bridge and locking tuners on this guitar with compensated brass saddles for absolute tonal balance and intonation adjustability. Very light and resonant! This is an amazing instrument and destined for collectability due to it's quality and rarity!

While the TransAcoustic's electronics deserve acclaim, the guitar is a high-quality acoustic instrument in its own right. With a single strum you'll notice the detail and warmth of the guitar's A.R.E.-treated solid Engelmann Spruce top. Yamaha's A.R.E. technology artificially ages the wood, achieving the clarity of tone found on great vintage instruments. The LS-TA's back and sides are crafted from solid Rosewood, which imbues the instrument with powerful low and high frequencies. The S body style is a comfortable design, similar to popular folk and OM acoustics with the narrower waist adding a focused midrange to the guitar's acoustic voice. The guitar's calling card is its onboard reverb and chorus effects. What sets them apart from other instruments with onboard effects is that these don't require any external amplification. Engage the effects via the simple-to-use controls and you'll experience and acoustic experience like playing in a rich, ambient venue. And when it's time for the gig, you can access those same great tones plugged in through the guitar's System70 pickup system and rigid Yamaha bag.

This is an in-house hand made Custom Shop instrument. This Custom Shop bass is our tribute to the 1956 Precision Bass with an Ash body finished in Vintage Two Tone Sunburst and a Maple neck and fingerboard. This bass has a custom wound vintage style single coil  pickup creating that legendary early P-Bass vintage tone and a NOS vintage paper in oil capacitor from Ukraine in the tone circuit. With a very strong and resonant voice, this bass has that open P-Bass sound heard on stage and in the best recordings throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's! Sting has used his early single coil P-Bass throughout his career. The Vintage Sunburst light relic finish looks extremely classy over the broad grain of the wood and is accentuated with the early large style white pick guard.  Original chrome covers over the bridge and pickup makes this bass look like a real blast from the past. The '58 style 4 saddle bridge used on this tribute bass ensures correct intonation and playability.  This bass, #101 in our series so far, is a limited run and includes a hardshell case.

We are producing these as our version of vintage Fender instruments made in the 50's. 60's and early 70's. Highly sought after original vintage instruments can bring well over 10,000. and taking them on stage and into studios is a serious risk. These Custom Shop instruments are light weight, resonant and have the feel, playability and tone of the old treasured instruments. And when it's time for the gig, you can access those same great tones plugged in through the guitar's System70 pickup system. Yamaha branded hard gigbag included.
