This is a Pre-War Martin find of a lifetime. It is an original Nazareth, PA made Martin 0-17 H from 1937, that is now living 4 miles from the original Martin factory, in our shop.
It is solid mahogany with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. This was originally set up as a Hawaiian slide guitar at the Martin factory with flat bar frets. It has been professionally set up as a standard 0-17 with real frets. The instrument is in excellent original condition and all the clear lacquer is original throughout this instrument with the exception of the back of the body, which has been over sprayed with clear lacquer at some point in it's life. It plays great and the sound is incredible. The action is great at slightly less than 3/32" at the 12th fret on the low E side and 2/32" on the high E. It plays with ease and it's voice is strong, clear and loud. I hope this beauty finds a good home with a player that will enjoy it's feel and sound. This instrument still resides in it's original Martin case with that luxurious Purple lining.
