The APX series doesn’t just focus on sound - every element was tweaked to be an easy switch for an electric player on-stage, from the stylish finishes to the cutaway body and the slim, electric-guitar style neck. APX’s thin-line body combines incredible comfort, easy top-fret access and a sound perfectly suited to on-stage use with bright, clear mids, balanced highs and controlled lows. Specially designed non-scalloped X-type bracing allows the guitar’s top to sing and maximizes the resonance of the unique body shape for a full, natural tone. With dynamics, sensitivity and clarity built into the design from day one, APX is a guitar not to be underestimated. In any electro-acoustic, the combination of the guitar’s acoustic sound and its pickup is the heart of the sound. The APX700 features ART Contact Pickup fitted directly beneath the top board and captures sound from both the guitar’s top and the air inside the body so the natural resonance of the guitar is faithfully reproduced.
