Garrison guitars was founded in 1999 in Newfoundland, Canada producing acoustic guitars and mandolins and offered unique and innovative designs in acoustic guitar bracing. After being acquired in 2007, the began producing guitars for Gibson's Songwriters series of instruments. This 2009 DSM Dreadnought is apart of said series sporting features such as Gibson's traditional scalloped bracing, double acting truss rods, and premium Sitka spruce tops. Other significant appointments include a solid mahogany, 25-1/2" scale neck with an ebony fingerboard, white boltaron binding, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, chrome hardware, and Tusq saddles, nuts, and bridge pins. The headstock carries the Gibson logo in silk-screened gold letters. Original Gibson branded hardshell case included.
