This is a rare opportunity to get into a one owner family, factory original Custom Color Jazzmaster from 1965, at a bargain price. This 1965 L-series (pre-CBS) still retains it's original Fender factory lacquer finish and includes the Candy Apple Red matching headstock face. The pickups and electronics are original with a pot code of 1376451, showing the CTS manufacture date of 51st week of 1964. The neck date stamp shows 4 SEPT 65 B, designating it as manufactured in September of 1965. This is the last period of manufacture considered Pre-CBS, as later made instruments would show the large F stamp on the neck plate. The original electronics shield is intact as is the original cloth wiring. The neck and frets look and feel great and it plays with ease.
