Fender's Princeton amp was first launched in 1948 with a 6 inch speaker, 4.5 watts of output power, and no controls (not even an on/off switch). By 1966 multiple revisions to the amplifier's circuit and cabinetry allowed for it to transform into the smallest amplifier Fender built with tremolo and reverb included. This has made it a favorite among gigging musicians and studio engineers for their compact size, excellent tones, and volume output. Volume, Bass, and Treble are all most players need. What makes the Princeton Reverb so special are the built in tremolo and reverb effects (which can be foot pedal actuated) with Speed and Intensity for controlling the tremolo and Reverb acting as a dry/wet control. These features, including the cabinet's dimensions and 12 watts of output power, are still high in demand even for today's musicians. This one is a really nice example, made in 1966, that looks and sounds incredible! However it came in without a reverb tank. We upgraded to a new mojotone tank, new footswitch, and replaced the original power cable to a grounded three prong. This 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb is marked as local pickup only because we don't like to risk damage in shipping vintage tube amps, but may be able top help a buyer ship it through their carrier if needed.
