In production since the early '30s, the D-28 remains an absolutely benchmark acoustic guitar. The D-28 has gone through a number of changes over the decades, but most modern D-28s remain very similar in design to their predecessors. This rare production option on the D-28 is labeled D-28P for the Performing Artist neck carve. Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides and a Solid Sitka Spruce top make for unparalleled response. The 1-piece mahogany neck is smooth and comfortably carved in this special edition Performing Artist series with a slightly slimmer profile and 1.75" nut width for ultimate comfort and playability. Original Martin hardshell case included.
